Mrs. Black is a veteran teacher/school counselor in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. She has been a school counselor for 16 years, of which 7 of those have been at Parkview Elementary. Mrs. Black has a Bachelor’s degree in education and a Master’s degree in Guidance and Psychology.
Mrs. Black has an open door in the School Counseling office. Children love to visit with her when they have a need. She also works with parents, teachers and staff to assist in the personal, social, emotional and academic development of all students at Parkview.
While she encourages children to do their very best academically and personally, Mrs. Black helps students explore their feelings and potential. She helps them to problem solve and set goals for personal and academic achievement.
Students, parents and staff are always welcome in Mrs. Black’s Counseling office.
